Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA) has the role of promoting access of Communication services in underserved and unserved areas as one of its core strategies.

In ensuring this strategy is attained, TCRA has in place ICT pack project that ensures communities that have less or no access to communication services and facilities are helped to have such access.

ICT pack project involve provision of ICT equipment to schools and establishment of telecentre. Since its inception in 2016, the project has served a total of 34 schools and 15 Telecentre have been established so far. The selected schools or communities are provided equipment that includes;

1. Computers
2. Printers and photocopiers
3. Provision of internet (data services)

Since its inception the project has transformed communities that were served, by enhancing digital literacy, giving access to digital transactions such as mobile money, increased mobile phone usage.
