Mr. Mohamed Ame Makame holds a Master's Degree in Information Technology and Management from the Avinashilingam University, India and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, from the University of Dar es Salaam.

He is currently the Executive Director of the Zanzibar Civil Status Registration Agency (ZCSRA) at the Ministry of State, the President's Office, Regional Administration, Local Governments and Special Departments of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar.

Other positions held by Mr. Makame include Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Manager at the Water Well Drilling and Dam Construction Agency (DDCA) in Dar es Salaam in 2005. He was Head of ICT Section at the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) Zanzibar in 2006 and Head of Technical Assistance  (TA) Sub Department at the President’s Office in Zanzibar between 2016 and 2021.

Mr. Mohamed Ame Makame has been in various technical teams guiding major projects. They include the AU Commission ICT Oversight Committee for the development and administration of a Secure Communication System among AU Member States (2008 – 2014). He served in the Technical team in the development and administration of SADC Regional Early Warning Center (REWC) – (2010 -2014).

Mr. Mohamed Ame Makame's great aspiration is to serve as one of the recognized persons at the national and International levels in spearheading DIGITAL TANZANIA.
